How AYLA Can Help Your Charitable Organization

Although AYLA does not have funding available to financially support the efforts of charitable organizations, there are a number of ways your organization can benefit from our other resources. In addition to the below, we are also open to hearing any creative proposal for how we can partner with you to help achieve your goals. • AYLA will make space available for you to have a table at our annual “Docket Call for the Community,” a networking happy hour for charities and young lawyers. This event, a project of the AYLA Lawyers as Leaders committee, is typically held in the spring.
• Apply to be considered as the beneficiary for the AYLA Softball Tournament, held in the early summer.
• Post your volunteer or board service opportunity on our website.
• Submit a volunteer opportunity to be considered for one of our monthly Service Sampler workdays. The opportunity would need to be something our members could participate in as a group, and would ideally be held on a weekend or evening. Examples of past projects have been home building/repair, mountain biking outings with disadvantaged youth, assisting with a large public event as ticket takers and other event volunteers, and sorting/packaging food donations for a food bank.
